I am a proud alumna of the IU Indianapolis School of Liberal Arts, where I earned my degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Safety Management through the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
During all four years of my undergraduate experience, I worked as a student employee. Some of my favorite memories are from my time as an OSA at our front desk, where I had the opportunity to connect with students and be part of the office from a student perspective. Now, I work full-time with our office, supporting both IU Indianapolis students and our off-campus community partners.
Outside of work, I live in Greenfield, Indiana, with my husband and our two cats, Toast and Maple! I enjoy spending time with them, playing video games, and watching the same five shows on repeat.
I transferred to IU Indianapolis as a sophomore because I was ready to start my young adult life in a city where I could experience greater diversity and the excitement of an urban environment. What started as a decision to try something new slowly turned into finding a place that I truly loved.
Throughout my undergraduate experience, I became more connected to the campus and Indianapolis community. When I was presented with the opportunity to join our office full-time after graduation and continue making an impact on students, I gladly accepted!
My current role is also an important building block toward my future career aspirations. In Spring 2027, I will begin pursuing my Master of Public Affairs (MPA) with a concentration in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. After my time with OSE, I hope to continue serving my community through a career in local government—and maybe even the federal government someday!
My first college work experience was at Anderson University, where I worked as a Student Library Assistant. I spent my shifts working at the circulation desk, checking books in and out, and wandering all three floors of the library to organize and shelve books.
I really enjoyed being surrounded by the smell of old books and the quiet atmosphere of the library. Morning shifts were a peaceful way to start my day before class, while afternoon shifts gave me a chance to wind down after a long day. Looking back, it was a simple but memorable introduction to working while in college—and the beginning of my experience as a student employee.
